The price of buying and renting a house have skyrocketed. This situation forces us to be creative in terms of housing allocation. The following house project is one perfect example of an affordable house. This three-storey house stands in the middle of a densely populated city, but this condition doesn’t prevent the house residents from getting comfort. How could it be?
Let’s review together the design by M Atelier, A Japanese architectural firm.
A Small Three-Storey House
The land area of this building is about 66 square-meter, while the building area is about 33 square-meter. On the first floor, there are a bedroom and bathroom for the couple, the living room is on the second floor, while the children’s rooms are on the third floor.
This house coincides with the neighbors’ houses, but the outer wall was designed so that the residents of the house can stay safely and comfortably. This tiny house has perfect rooms in it. There’s also a balcony as a place to relax in an open air.
The Reassuring Exterior Design
The difficulty of finding parking lots is common in a densely populated neighborhood. The architects managed to create a private parking space to solve this problem. The garage was built facing directly to the street, but rather protruding inside. The balcony is equipped with wooden panels to provide privacy of the house, also serves as a safety for the children when they’re playing on the balcony.
A Touch of Japanese Style
The corridor is designed simply and neatly. On the right side, there are a separate bathroom and bedroom for parents. The guests will be led to the living room on the second floor.
Parents’ Bedroom on the First Floor
The parents’ bedroom on the first floor has a direct access to the garage. A custom wardrobe and a little cabinet are placed to save space. The sliding glass door that connects the room to the garage is made wide to make the room brighter and doesn’t feel cramped.
Bathroom As Well As Laundry Room
This bathroom is shared with the family member. The interior is designed effectively so that it fit in the room dimension. A sliding door is used to separate the bathroom from the laundry room. A smart solution for a family with a busy schedule, especially in the morning.
